The Sky Blues have sealed the loan signing of Chuba Akpom to boost City's forward line...
Coventry City have signed forward Chuba Akpom on a youth-loan deal from Premier League side Arsenal until the end of the season.
The 18-year old arrives from the Emirates having made his Premier League debut for the Gunners in the 3-1 win over Sunderland this season.
Akpom recently had a one-month loan spell at Brentford, where he made four appearances for the League One side.
City boss Steven Pressley believes Akpom can add a valuable option to Coventry's forward line.
Pressley said: "We've been looking to add options to our forward line and Chuba is an exciting young player who we're delighted to bring in.
"He is a young player who is hungry to prove himself, and hunger is certainly a key attribute at this football club.
"We've got a lot of games left this season and I hope Chuba will be able to help us get the results we need."
Akpom will wear the number 9 shirt during his time with the Sky Blues.
