Sky Blues midfielder, Jack Burroughs scored his first senior goal for Gloucester City last week in their FA Trophy clash with Wealdstone.

Gloucester ultimately lost the cup fixture 3-1, but it was Burroughs who stole the headlines with an outrageous strike from 35 yards out, leaving the 'keeper helpless.

Jordan Young also started the game, with both of the City duo playing the full 90 minutes for Gloucester.

Elsewhere, in League Two, Marcel Hilssner continued his impressiver start to life at Oldham Athletic, by producing another excellent performance.

Oldham ran out winners against Newport County at Boundary Park, with Marcel starting his second consecutive game and playing the full 90 minutes for Harry Kewell's side.

Finally, it was a dissapointing afternoon for St Mirren and Brandon Mason, as they exited the Scottish League Cup in the semi-finals against Livingston.

Mason started the game and played for 68 minutes, before being withdrawn, as the Scottish Premiership side looked for an equaliser.
