Coventry City will be fighting fit throughout the 2015/16 League One season thanks to a new partnership with Stoneleigh Fit Gym.

The Sky Blues' first-team, development and Academy sides will all take advantage of Stoneleigh Fit's state of the art gym facilities thanks to this new deal.

Stoneleigh Fit, who has great indoor facilities but also sits in the middle of a great outdoor environment at Stoneleigh Park, have welcomed this new deal with City as they look to work with top sportsmen.

Stoneleigh Fit's Iain Exeter said: "We're delighted to be able to join up with Coventry City Football Club and work with professional sportsmen.

"The Sky Blues have a great tradition of bringing through young players and to be part of that process is great for the gym.

"We will also take part in the rehabilitation of injured players and we're really looking forward to the new season."

Matthew Ellis, the Academy's Head of Sports Science said: "It is fantastic news for the football club to team up with Stoneleigh Fit.

"We've been looking for a gym to team up with and Stoneleigh was the obvious choice as it has some of the best facilities in the Coventry and Warwickshire area.

"Not only will the Academy be using the facilities, but development and first-team players will be able to take full advantage of the gym and their advice.

"I'm sure our players at all levels of the club will benefit from this brilliant new deal."

The gym will be holding a 'Ram Run' on Saturday at Stoneleigh Park in Kenilworth, an obstacle-based run which tests strength, fitness and agility as well as being extremely fun.
