Sky Blues midfielder Jack Finch takes the next step of his career with a two-year pro deal after graduating from the club's Academy
Young Coventry City midfielder Jack Finch has signed his first two-year professional deal with the club which keeps him with the Sky Blues until June 2016.
The 17-year-old, who first signed with the Sky Blues' Academy as a nine-year-old, completed his two-year apprenticeship as an Academy graduate last month and will now be welcomed into the development and first team fold on a full-time basis after impressing manager Steven Pressley.
Finch was a regular in the Sky Blues' Under-21s side during the 2013/14 season and was rewarded for his efforts with a first team squad number and place in the matchday squad towards the end of City's League One campaign.
Pressley said: "Jack is a player that we have high hopes for because we feel that he has great potential.
"He will be welcomed into the first team set-up because we want him to develop as he is still a young boy, but he has done very well in our development squad.
"He was also given the experience of being part of the matchday squad towards the end of last season so we hope he can continue to progress in the manner that he has done."
Finch follows in the footsteps of fellow Academy graduate and goalkeeper Lee Burge who signed his first long-term professional deal with the club on Friday.
