Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed Carl Baker should return for the trip to Gillingham tomorrow.

The City captain has missed the last two games through injury but he is expected to train today before the Tuesday night fixture at Priestfield.

Chuba Akpom has returned to Arsenal for an FA Youth Cup fixture against Everton tonight which rules him out so Nathan Delfouneso is expected to start.

Pressley said: “Carl should return to the squad for the game and he will be involved in training today. He will provide the team with a boost as he is a big character in the side and he gives us another option.

“Chuba is back on duty with Arsenal but Nathan is fit so hopefully he’ll come in and claim his place in the side.

“I thought Chuba was excellent at the weekend as it is obvious that some of the work we’re doing with him is paying off. Nathan knows what is expected of him and I’m sure he’ll be able to show his qualities against Gillingham.”
