The City boss also confirmed the club could bring in as many as four strikers this summer...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed the club have offered a contract to an unnamed striker who has been on trial at the club.

The striker has been on trial at the club for 10 days and has impressed during his time with the Sky Blues, scoring a hat-trick during one pre-season training session.

The City manager previously stated that he was looking to bring in three strikers but today, he said he could potentially bring in as many as four.

Pressley said: "We've had a striker in for the best part of ten days on trial and he has trained exceptionally well.

"He is a player we've always liked and he is a player who is best suited to playing in a partnership up front.

"He is a terrific finisher which is crucial. We've offered him a contract and we're hoping to have a positive response.

"I've said a number of times that we want to bring in three strikers but it may well be four."
