'Leon is a doubt' - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed striker Leon Clarke is a doubt for Sunday's match against Crawley Town.

The 28-year old, who has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season and netted against Barnsley to seal City's passage to the fourth round of the FA Cup last week, has picked up a groin problem from training.

Callum Wilson has already been ruled out for at least three months with a shoulder injury so new signing Denzel Slager and midfielder Franck Moussa is on stand-by.

The City manager also confirmed Conor Thomas and Jordan Clarke should be in contention to figure against the Red Devils.

The City manager said: "Conor (Thomas) hasn't joined in the contact aspect of training yet but seems fine so we are hoping he gets involved with that on Saturday.

"Jordan Clarke is also in the same situation with his injury but I think both should be back for the Sunday which is pleasing.

"The only other problem we have now is an injury to Leon Clarke who missed training today. He has got a problem with his groin and is a big doubt for Sunday's match.

"We will have to look at that situation. I think Franck (Moussa) did well in that position last week and of course, we now have Denzel (Slager) who could be involved."
