The first formal meeting of the CCFC Stadium Forum is to take place this month
The group formed to help shape Coventry City’s new stadium will meet supporters for the first time this month.
The CCFC Stadium Forum has been set-up to ensure the club’s tradition and history is imprinted on the new venue.
The group, chaired by city businesswoman and lifelong City fan Sandra Garlick, will meet regularly with the club and its architects as plans for the new ground progress.
Garlick said: “I have met and chatted with lots of supporters since taking up my role, but we now want to meet with Sky Blues fans formally to make sure that all views are taken into account.
“I know that everyone wants the club back in the Coventry area as soon as possible, and our only role is to ensure that when that happens, it will be coming to a home which reflects both the tradition and the ambition of the club.
“We want to take supporters’ views and then translate them into a series of practical and workable recommendations for the owners of the club and their architects.”
The first forum, which is open to season ticket holders and corporate season ticket holders only, will take place on Thursday, January 9 at the Village Hotel at Coventry Business Park, off the A45, in Coventry.
Season ticket holders are advised to attend at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, and must register by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org to gain admission. Only those who have registered in advance will be able to attend.
A meeting for non-season ticket holders will be held later in January and a date will soon be announced.
