Adams in contention for U's

Steven Pressley has confirmed City left-back Blair Adams is in contention for the U's clash...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed left-back Blair Adams is in contention for Sunday's match against Colchester United.

The 21-year old missed the 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury due to a slight knock he picked up in training before the trip to the Greenhous Meadow.

Academy left-back Ryan Haynes filled in for the former Sunderland man but Pressley says Adams has come through this week's training well.

The City boss said: "Blair (Adams) has come through the last two training sessions well and should be in contention for the match at the weekend.

"He has looked very good in training this week but we will watch him train on Saturday again to make sure there are no further issues.

"Adam Barton has a slight knee problem at the moment which we are monitoring but we don't think the problem is to serious at the moment.

"Other than that, there aren't any other concerns for the match against Colchester."
