Enrol on free FA coaching course

Sky Blues in the Community offering free places for FA Youth Module 2 coaching course

Sky Blues in the Community will be running a free FA Youth Module 2 Course during August and September, as part of their ‘partner club’ Coach Development Scheme.

The course – delivered by Birmingham County FA, takes place at the Moat House Leisure Centre on the 17th and 18th of August, and the 1st and 8th September.

The Youth Module 2 course provides practical sessions and workshops that help coaches to develop practices appropriate for the age, maturity, ability and experience levels of their players.

The Sky Blues Coach Development scheme is funded by Sport England and offers free FA coaching qualifications for volunteers at local grassroots football clubs playing in the John Bryan Minor League. To date the scheme has seen over 100 local coaches obtain free coaching qualifications, with thousands of local young players in turn benefitting from a more skilled and trained volunteer workforce in local football.

Joint Head of Sky Blues in the Community said “The coach development scheme has proved very popular with grassroots clubs and coaches.

“The Module 2 course is a great progression from the Module 1 course which we ran in June. The qualifications we have offered will help grassroots coaches develop more structured sessions to children of all ages and abilities, contributing to a better coaching and playing experience for local young players in Coventry.”

Any coaches wishing to do the Level 2, must already hold a Youth Module Level 1, and to book your place or to find out more information, you can contact the Sky Blues in the Community office Monday to Friday, 9-5pm on 024 7678 6349.
