"These are games we've got to win at home. We've got to convert our opportunities better." - Coventry City's Steven Pressley

The City manager has also praised the performances of Simeon Jackson and James Maddison after the 1-1 draw...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has stated the Sky Blues should have claimed all three points against Fleetwood Town.

City were behind early on when Andy Webster headed a Gareth Evans 19th-minute cross into his own net to put the Cod Army ahead.

It was all City in the second-half and Simeon Jackson came on to tap home Gary Madine's header with 11 minutes remaining.

City continued to pile forward until the final whistle but, to Pressley's frustration, they couldn't find the winner.

Pressley said: "These are games we've got to win at home. I thought we played really well, especially in the second-half.

"The way the players came back from behind to get a point was great but we should have got all three as our second-half performance merited it.

"There's no doubt we should have won it. It is about results though and we've got to win these sorts of games if we are going to progress this season.

"We didn't win it because we lost an early goal and gave them something to hold on to. We've got to convert our opportunities better."

Jackson got his third goal of the season after coming on in the second-half and Pressley praised his performance, as well as James Maddison.

He added: "I was very pleased with Simeon Jackson's response. He hasn't had much game-time lately but his reaction to coming on was great.

"Also, James Maddison really impressed when he came on. He is a player who I think will be a hero in the future.

"James has a couple of positions I think he can fulfill and play well in. He plays in a play-maker role with the Under-18s but can play up front and out wide.

"He's very effective in the No.10 positions and he's very good at getting fouls which is a attribute. He is a player we've got to make sure we expose at the right times.
