Saturday’s game against Chesterfield saw Sky Blues in the Community welcome a number of children who attended the camps that took place during the school summer holiday period.

At each holiday course Sky Blues coaches nominate young players from each age group for the ‘Respect Award’. The Respect Award recognises those children who display an exemplary attitude during the camps – including good behaviour, helping the coaches and assisting other players.

The holiday camps are open to boys and girls aged 5-12 of all footballing abilities, and at half time on Saturday the players demonstrated some of the drills and games that the coaches run on the camps.

The community team will be running another event for Respect Award winners on the pitch on the 21st November at the home game versus Gillingham following the October half-term courses.

Your child has the opportunity to get involved in the holiday camps and potentially showcase their skills on the Ricoh turf by attending the courses taking place during the week of 26th October.
