Sky Blues trio watched City's win over the Blades among the thirteen thousand strong supporters...

Coventry City first teamers Reda Johnson, Ivor Lawton and Lee Burge watched the 3-1 win over Sheffield United with the Sky Blues faithfuls on Saturday afternoon.

The Ricoh Arena played host to City’s final home game of the season, and the Sky Blues bid farewell to the home following in style as a dominant performance was rounded off with three goals.

Tony Mowbray’s side were two ahead within the opening ten minutes, as Marc-Antoine Fortune netted the first and Andy Rose doubled the scoring in the eighth minute.

Ruben Lameiras capped off a fine City display with the third goal from the subs bench, as City recorded their highest tally of home wins (12) since the 1987 FA Cup winning season.

The injured trio of Johnson, Lawton and Burge were housed in block 15, dubbed ‘singers corner’, during the match and joined Sky Blue fans in renditions of PUSB.

Coventry City travel to Oldham Athletic for the final day of the League One season on Sunday 8th May and if Mowbray’s side can claim the three points on offer, it would represent the best Sky Blue league points total for over three decades.
