Sky Blues in the Community welcomed young footballers to the Ryton Training Ground on Saturday for the final stage of our Local EFL Kids Cup competition.
Shortly after midday, Keresley Grange, Whitmore Park and Dunchurch Primary Schools kicked-off at the Sky Blues’ training ground in the final stage of our Local EFL Kids Cup competition.
Whitmore Park were the winners of the round robin tournament and will go on to represent the Sky Blues in the Regional Finals – and hopefully then the National phase of the competition, where they will face schools representing other League clubs. The final of the competition takes place at Wembley on Play Off final weekend.
Sky Blues in the Community Director David Busst, was there on Saturday and said, “It’s a great competition that Sky Blues run every year, inviting schools from across Coventry, Warwickshire and Bedworth. It’s so nice for the children that we are able to offer a special treat by hosting the Round Robin at the CCFC Training Ground, it also gives us the chance to identify any gifted and talented children and invite them in to our Player Development Centres."
