Coventry City completed the signing of striker Marcus Tudgay on an initial one-year deal in the summer of 2014.
The 33-year-old former Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday man penned a contract with the Sky Blues after an extended training period following the end of his three-and-a-half-year spell with Forest.
Tudgay began his career with Derby County where he progressed through the youth ranks before making nearly 100 first team appearances and scoring 17 goals.
His early potential alerted Championship side Wednesday who signed the then 22-year-old in 2006, who then went on to score 48 goals in nearly 200 appearances for the Owls.
A loan spell with Nottingham Forest towards the end of his contract at Hillsborough proved to be a precursor to a permanent move to the City Ground where he made 57 appearances and scored ten goals in a time that also included loan spells at Barnsley and Charlton Athletic.
The veteran striker made 27 appearances last term, scoring five goals, and has already opened his scoring account for the 2016/17 season with a goal against Northampton Town.
