Coventry City agreed the transfer of striker Tyler Walker from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee back in August 2020.

Walker rose through the Academy at Nottingham Forest, making his debut back in 2015, aged 18 against Rotherham United in the Championship.

Tyler then went out to enjoy six loan spells over the next few years, playing for the likes of Burton Albion, Stevenage, Port Vale and Bolton Wanderers, before his last two loan spells with Mansfield Town and Lincoln City, where he began to find the back of the net on a regular basis.

Walker scored 26 goals in 52 games at Mansfield in 2018/19, earning a place in the League Two team of the year, and scored16 goals in 34 games at Lincoln City.

The former England Under 20 would go on to make 45 appearances and score 7 goals for Nottingham Forest, before eventually moving permanently as he joined the Sky Blues.

A couple of injuries meant Walker was unable to feature as much as he would have wanted to during the 2020/21 season, but he would end the campaign as the club’s top goalscorer with eight goals in his debut season.

The following season, Tyler scored three goals for City, before moving to Portsmouth on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
