Coventry City have completed the signing of young defender Kain Ryan.
Ryan joins the Sky Blues following his departure from Brighton and Hove Albion in February.
The 19-year-old centre half has signed a contract with the Sky Blues until June 2025 and will initially link up with City’s Under-21s side.
Kain joined Brighton from Derby County in November 2021, having been on the books at the Rams since the age of 11. He was part of the Seagulls’ Under 18s for a season-and-a-half, before making the step up to the Under 21s at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
The youngster has said: “I'm really happy. It's a new beginning and a new chapter for me and hopefully I can kick-on from here.
I just want to get back to playing football and play as many minutes as I can and get back to where I was and performing well.
I can't wait to get started, it's an exciting time for me and I'm looking forward to what the future holds."
