Coventry City are re-iterating to supporters that the Coventry Building Society Arena is an all-seater stadium.
While the Club continues to explore safe standing initiatives for the future, and is currently undergoing consultation with supporters on this, it is important that fans do not persistently stand during matches while the Coventry Building Society Arena is an all-seater stadium.
Persistently standing for the whole game, or for long periods of it, is against our current ground regulations. Doing so may affect the enjoyment of the game for other supporters, whose view may be affected, as well as your own safety and the safety of others. We want to remind all Sky Blues supporters that persistent standing is not permitted at The Coventry Building Society Arena.
Following dialogue with the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) if persistent standing continues there is a possibility that sanctions may be action taken against the Football Club - this has the potential of an enforced reduction in stadium capacity on a matchday.
Alongside today’s reminder on our website and social media, there will be further reminders to supporters on matchdays.
The atmosphere at the Coventry Building Society Arena continues to be rightly praised and we want this to continue, but it must do so safely.
