Ben Sheaf says he is looking forward to testing himself against Premier League opposition as he prepared for Saturday's afternoon's Emirates FA Cup Quarter-Final against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Sky Blues will take on Wolves at Molineux at 12.15pm on Saturday 16 March with both teams fighting for a player in the last four - and a trip to Wembley.
Looking ahead to the Wolves fixture:
Yeah, looking forward to it, a lot of us haven’t been in a FA Cup quarter-final before and obviously we are up against a decent opposition, Premier League team, so looking forward to the challenge.
Looking at our route to get here it is probably a lot easier than others, but still, we are here and looking forward to a good game.
It’s a good opportunity for a lot of us to go against a Premier League team a lot of us aspire to be Premier League players and hopefully a Premier League team one day so like I said it will be a good challenge, a one we look forward to.
On testing himself against Premier League opposition and if he feels ready for the task:
I think deep down you know, you have that belief that you can get back to that level, but take it like another game, enjoy the occasion, stick to our game plan and go for it.
On returning from injury ahead of schedule:
I am feeling good, feeling fit, ready for the game and hopefully we can go into the international break with a positive result.
I pushed as hard as I could with the physio staff and they have done a great job in getting back a bit earlier than I was expected, got some minutes the other day and ready to go for Saturday.
On how City will aproach the game:
I don’t know if I can tell you exactly how we are going to approach it but what I can guarantee is we are going to give absolutely everything, however we are going to set up and however we are going to play we are going to do it to the best of our ability and hopefully it is good enough on the day.
Hopefully it doesn’t come to it, but it is something you need to think about for sure but we should be ready for that
