Coventry City are delighted to announce the signing of Victor Torp.
The 24-year-old Danish central midfielder joins City from Norwegian Eliteserien club Sarpsborg 08 for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
Victor has agreed terms with the Sky Blues on a four-and-a-half-year deal until June 2028.
Torp began his career with FC Midtjylland in his native Denmark. From here he enjoyed two loan spells at Fredericia followed by a spell at Lyngby, before heading to Belgian side KV Kortrijk in the 2021-22 campaign on loan.
In June 2022, Torp signed for Sarpsborg 08. He scored six times for Sarpsborg last season in 30 appearances.
Victor has been capped by Denmark from Under 17 level up to Under 20s.
An all-action and athletic midfielder, Victor will bring creativity as well as combativeness in the middle of the pitch for the Sky Blues.
Manager Mark Robins said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Victor to Coventry City.
“He is a player who brings to us creativity and athleticism.
“He will need a period of adjustment but we are confident that he will adapt to the intensity and demands of training and the Championship.
“We look forward to working with Victor and him continuing his footballing development with us.”
