Liam Manning's side arrive at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday night having struggled for wins in recent times, picking up just thre points their last four Sky Bet Championship games.
That have tasted success in the Emirates FA Cup, however, beating West Ham United on their way to forcing a replay with Nottingham Forest.
Standing 13th in the table, Bristol City remain in the race for the top six and are one of only two teams in the division, along with Plymouth Argyle, with a balanced goal difference.

Leigh Doughty will take charge of his first Coventry City fixture this season, with his last outing coming during the 2022/23 season when City beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
So far this campaign, Leigh has issued 75 yellow cards and 3 red cards across the Carabao Cup, League Two, League One and Championship.
Doughty will be assisted by Richard Wild and Matthew Jones, whilst Sam Allison will act as fourth official.

Tickets will be available to buy from the Ticket Office in the Superstore at the Coventry Building Society Arena (South-West corner), from 9:30am until 5:30pm and then from 5:30pm to kick-off in the Matchday Ticket Office in the South-East corner. This is cashless, with card and contactless payment available.
There is no matchday price increase.
