Ben Sheaf was the match-winner, as he fired the Sky Blues to three points against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
The midfielder produced a moment of magic in the first half and then arrived in the box in the second to grab his second.
City climbed back into the top six, making it nine unbeaten and Sheaf looked back at the games events.
Start of the game…
“We started pretty well. We know it's going to be a hostile environment coming in, a difficult pitch but still think we managed to play some nice stuff. We could have managed other parts of the game better, but it was a decent first half.
“Then the second half they got one back, but I think the period after it we managed it pretty well and then it didn't really feel like they were that dangerous after that.
“I think we could have managed parts of the game better, especially off the ball, but I think on the ball we played some pretty good stuff.
“They're going to set high tempo, they're at home. We know it's a tough environment. So, we've got to sort of dictate the game as quickly as we possibly can and get on top of them and get the crowd against them and I felt like we did that for the most part. I just said, if we play the way we want to play, we'll win today, and I think we did that today.
The second half performance…
“Yeah, they're going to come out and change a few bits because the first half, we were pretty good.
“I thought we weathered that quite well. We sort of calmed things down a little bit, got control of the ball again and yeah, overall, a good win away from home in a tough environment.
His first goal…
“Yeah, I've not seen it back yet. I received the ball on the edge and sort of felt someone there, managed to sort of chop inside and then just hit it.
“I looked up and it was in the back of the net and then yeah celebrated with the fans so obviously nice to score and then you have managed to get another one.
“That doesn't happen too often so enjoy it while it happens.”
On the recent run…
“We said that before the game, we can't go beating teams like Leicester and then come to places like this and not get results. So yeah, it's really important for the dressing room and continues the momentum.
“We can't look too far ahead, as cliche as it sounds, we've got to take each game as it comes, we're obviously on a good run, a good bit of momentum.
“We've just got to keep our feet on the ground and if we keep sticking together and putting in good performances, you know, we'll have every chance of being in and around it at the end of the season.”
