NEWS: Sky Blues fans urged to arrive early for Friday night clash with Preston North End

22 February 2024

Coventry City fans are being encouraged to arrive early for Friday’s match against Preston North End.

New queueing lanes were put in place for our last home game against Millwall and will be used again by the Arena for the upcoming fixtures, including Friday’s fixture aas City host Preston North End when a big crowd is expected.

The barrier system is designed to  help deal with ingress density/flow during the busy period prior to kick off, ensuring organised queues are in place and that they do not impact on circulation around the outside of the Arena.

We continue to encourage fans to arrive at turnstiles at least 30 minutes before kick-off to support the entry process and to also have their ticket/Season Ticket ready before they approach turnstiles – this makes sure you’re in the stadium for the Sky Blues entering the pitch.

The advised turnstile for entry is shown on your ticket but you can use any turnstile for entry – excluding home fans in the South Stand, an area which is being trialled against Preston North End and which is not connected to the rest of the home areas.

Fans are advised to avoid bringing bags where possible, as this significantly increases  search times on entry.

Key timings:

  • 6pm - Fan Village open
  • 6:15pm - Turnstiles open
  • 7:15pm - Fan Village closes
  • 7:45pm - Kick-Off

There will not be a closure of the A444 Jimmy Hill Way post-match on Friday – fans must take care when crossing this road after the game and only use the designated crossing points to do so.
