NEWS: e-ticket use and early arrival guidance issued for Monday's FA Cup tie

25 February 2024

Coventry City is providing fans with important advice ahead of Monday night’s home game against Maidstone United, in particular around arrival times and also use of e-tickets.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the match, with a bumper crowd for the fixture as the Sky Blues look to book a place in the FA Cup Quarter Final for the first time since 2009.

The East Stand fan village will open at 6pm while turnstiles are open at 6:15pm. Fans are encouraged to enter turnstiles at least 30 minutes before kick-off, to ensure they are in their seats for kick-off in the big match.

With it being an FA Cup fixture, there is a higher proportion of printed tickets and e-tickets for the game than for a usual league match.

E-Tickets can be used on phones or printed off – please see guidance for using them below, and make sure your ticket is ready when you approach the tunrnstile:

E-tickets on phones - Open the PDF containing your ticket, enlarge the barcode and ensure brightness on your screen is turned all the way up - then put your phone into the reader. If you are planning on scanning from your phone, ensure it is charged!

Printed e-tickets - Enter your printed ticket folded into the read – to help speed up entry, fold your ticket ahead of getting to the turnstile.

The new queuing lanes will continue to be in place to help deal with queues pre-match and help maintain flow of people outside the ground.

The advised turnstile for entry is shown on your ticket but Sky Blues fans can use any turnstile for entry.

Fans are advised to avoid bringing bags where possible, as this significantly increases  search times on entry.

Key timings:

  • 6pm - Fan Village open
  • 6:15pm - Turnstiles open
  • 7:15pm - Fan Village closes
  • 7:45pm - Kick-Off

There will not be a closure of the A444 Jimmy Hill Way post-match on Friday – fans must take care when crossing this road after the game and only use the designated crossing points to do so.

Tickets will be available on the night for Sky Blues fans only – all sales are via the Ticket Office (no cash turnstiles) and fans must have a previous purchase history with Coventry City to buy for this match.
