INTERVIEW: Jay Dasilva on Plymouth Argyle draw and Liam Kitching's late equaliser

The defender gave his immediate reaction after the final whistle...

Jay Dasilva says Coventry City must do better if they are to continue their Sky Bet Championship charge after drawing with Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

City equalised late on in Devon through Liam Kitching, with Mark Robins' men fighting back twice from behind.

Speaking after the game, Dasilva turned his attention to Saturday as City look to turn their draw on the road into a win at Stoke.

On the draw against Plymouth...

We showed good character to find a way to draw tonight but it was not our best performance and we all know that.

We need to improve and get back to it on Saturday.

We felt comfortable first half and we just knew we had to up it in the second half but we were below par all game, to be honest.

The big positive is that we didn't lose. We seemed a little flat, a bit safe. We didn't threaten enough and we were not at it, for our standard.

We know Plymouth are good at home and create a lot of chances. We spoke about that coming into the game.

On his partnership with Jake Bidwell at left back...

Jake and I get along well and we have a good understanding. We switched around a lot and it was good for both of us.

We're a good group but we have to step up when some players aren't there and we can be a lot better.

Looking ahead to Saturday's game against Stoke...

We need to push on now. It's crunch time. We need to keep pushing and improving every game.

We have lots of games to go. It's tough and relentless. We need to recover now, sleep, and do the right things ahead of Saturday.
