Fabio Tavares says he is looking to play a key part in helping Coventry City fight for a spot in the top six between now and the end of the season.
On his performance against Southampton:
I tried to impact the game as much as I could. I was down by two goals at the time as I was just trying to be positive.
Thankfully, I got an assist and played a part in the goal. I just tried to be positive and play a part in the game.
Jake Bidwell likes to sneak in to the back post so I aimed for that area. He made the run and picked it out, and it was a great finish too.
Southampton are a great side and you can see why there are where they are in the league. We could have still got something from the game, esecially having missed a penalty. It could have been a different game.
On his growing impact at the Club:
I had a big injury and missed a year so it was always going to take a bit of time to get back to the levels I was once at. Thankfully, it's coming along.
I'm getting goals and assists and I want to continue to dothat between now and May and help this side get into the top six.
The team were doing really well last year and all you can do is watch. It's tough but I am so happy that I have done that now and I am coming out the other end mentally stronger and a tougher person.
On the strong bond amongst the players at the Club:
It's the best changing room I have been in. We're all close and we have that bond and togetherness.
We'll need that chemisty to get us into the top six, hopefully.
Looking ahead to Birmingham:
It's going to be a tough game. They're playing to stay up. They'll have a different mindset to us. We're trying to get into the top six.
It's also a local derby so that adds more fuel to the fire. We want to go there and win.
