Joel Latibeaudiere is hoping to build on a point against Hull and use it moving forward in the upcoming games.

The defender scored his first goal for the Club, rising highest in the box to head home midway through the first half.

Having only returned from international duty the day before, Joel played the full 90 minutes, thanking the Coventry medical team for enabling him to do so.

Reflecting on the game…

“It was a tough game. Hull play really good football and we knew that coming in.

“I’ve just got back from international football not long ago, so I was going through the clips last night, so I found it really tough.

“I thought we were good in parts of it. We just turned the ball over a bit too much tonight and we didn't penetrate them enough with the passes.

“But still we had chances to go two nil up and that's what we're waiting for at the minute. I think if we go two up, we kill the game.”

Building on the point…

“It's a tough place to come here to Hull.

“It's just about turning those draws into wins now and we’ve got another big away game coming up at Cardiff and if we get three points there, this turns into a really good point for us.”

Playing right side of the three…

“I don't mind where I'm playing across the back five. I find it more comfortable at the centre back and I’m comfy on the left and comfy on the right.

“It allowed me to play more into Milan hit a few balls in behind, whereas on the left, I played more inside because I come in on the right foot.

“It's different. I enjoy playing both sides. I'm able to do that.”

Getting his first goal…

“I've not scored enough yet. So hopefully that's the first of many.

“It was a great ball from Josh. He's been working on it on the training ground, especially since Gus left of course was our free kick taker.

“He's really stepped up. He's been working hard at the training ground and it's good to see it come off and he deserves that with all the work he's been putting in on the on the dead ball situations.”

Looking back at the game…

“We kept turning the ball over too much. We kept trying to almost score every time we had the ball try and counterattack them.

“We knew they were vulnerable on the counter attack because of how expansive they like to play. But they were really good in possession and they switched the ball, they overloaded on midfield and they pinned us back in.

“But we were winning one nil up to 85 minutes and we were comfortably in the game. We switch off for one minute we don't come out when we clear the ball we stay in there and it's a great goal to be fair.”

Fitness after international duty…

“I felt good. The medical team really did a good job with me and Kasey. They got us in yesterday. So we landed at 11 and then went in the hyperbaric chamber and did everything we needed to recover.

“We’re really appreciative of the medical team. They were there a class and getting me recovered and ready to play 90 minutes.”
