The Sky Blues return to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday night as they take on Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship...

Meet the Rovers:

After narrowly missing out on the play-off places on the final day of the season, Blackburn Rovers will be looking to go one further this campaign.

A mixed run of results so far this season sees Rovers come into the game with 10 points from their opening nine fixtures, sitting 18th in the Championship.

Defeat last time out against league leaders Leicester City was the third league defeat on the bounce for Rovers, with their last victory coming against Middlesbrough in September.

Top scorer Sammie Szmodics looks to be the key man for Jon Dahl Tomasson's side, with the attcker filling the void left by summer departure Ben Brereton Diaz.

Match Officials:

Jeremy Simpson will be the man in the middle of City's clash with Blackburn Rovers at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Simpson, from Lancashire, last took charge of a Sky Blues fixture back in April 2023, when the Sky Blues drew 1-1 with Blackburn at Ewood Park.

So far this season, Simpson has taken charge of 8 fixtures, awarding 26 yellow cards and one red card.

He will be assisted by Rob Smith and Mark Dwyer, with Sebastian Stockbridge acting as his fourth official.
