Luis Binks gave an honest assessment of City's defeat to Rotherham United at the New York Stadium.
Despite having chances throughout the game, two goals in the second half ensured it would be the hosts who left with all three points.
Binks spoke to the local media after the final whistle and reflected on a disappointing night.
Disappointing result today
“We knew it wouldn't be an easy game, I think they showed that but still we had chances to go in front in the first half.
"Their goal is a bad goal from our point of view to concede but we weren't expecting it but it's what the Championship's about, there's no games easy and you never know what you're going to have to come up against.”
Similar to the last game – the goals
“Yeah, I think it’s like you say, against Bristol the first 25, 30 minutes we were on top and didn't take our chances and then they score at half time and then we're always chasing something instead of trying to be on the front going into halftime with a lead.
"We've got to be better in both boxes, including us in defence. I think the Dickie goal on Saturday was a set piece and then tonight it was a set piece, and the second goal has come from us chasing the game, but it's still a bad goal for us to concede.
"Yeah, it's not good enough. But like I say, we shouldn't even be in that position. It's not as though we're not creating chances.”
Not taking the chances and profiting from the corners
“If we get one of them two of them, we're in a better position and the games a totally different game their fans are against them. But as soon as you give them a sniff, then you see the fans get on their side and it's a different game. Not just the corners, I think keepers made a good save from Ellis (Simms) header.
"Ellis had that header, Tatsu had a header, Haji maybe he could have had a penalty? I don't know. There were a few other half chances a volley that resulted in a corner. I think we had a few corners after their first goal. So yeah we're creating chances we just need to make the most of them.”
Fine margins
“I think especially in this league, Rotherham thrive off them set pieces sending up the big boys and although we're not the biggest side we can definitely deal better with the set pieces, and it needs to change because we need to start picking up points.
"I think the championship is such a tight League and we can't let teams pull away and we don't want to fall behind. So we've got to start picking up points."
Cals Return
“Yeah, I think the fans were loving him when he come on, but you got to give him time.
"It can't be easy being out that long and being thrown into a game like that. So, I'm sure with time he'll come the player that the fans know, and I'll get to see the best of him.”
On turning the form around
“We definitely got the players to do it. There's still a lot more games to play in the championship and like you see last year we had a bad start and see where we finished. You see teams going all over the place. So yeah, there's a lot more games to play, and a lot more points to be played for.”
