CHARITY: Sky Blues fans running to support Air Ambulance after lifesaving treatment for fellow supporter

13 October 2023

Friends of a huge Sky Blues fan who suffered a traumatic brain injury after being involved in a freak accident are running the Bath Half Marathon this weekend to raise money for the Air Ambulance charity that saved his life.

Jamie Glassborow (Pictured left) had his life turned upside down after being hit by a car while on holiday with his girlfriend in Somerset on 20th September 2022.

He received CPR from a local bar worker before being airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by the Air Ambulance.

Jamie suffered a severe brain injury and a punctured lung and spent several weeks at Southmead Hospital. He was then transferred to University Hospital Coventry and the Royal Leamington Spa Rehabilitation Hospital. He was discharged in January this year.

Jamie has continued his recovery and been able to return to work eight hours a week and back to the Coventry Building Society Arena to support his beloved Sky Blues.

To thank Wiltshire Air Ambulance a team of Jamie’s close family and friends, many of whom are also City supporters, are running the Bath Half Marathon to raise money for them.
