Coventry City are delighted to have agreed the signing of defender Jay Dasilva.
The 25-year-old left wing-back has agreed a four-year deal with the Sky Blues, and will join the Club from 1st July following the expiry of his contract at Bristol City at the end of June.
A former England Under-21 international, Dasilva had made 144 appearances for the Robins, scoring 2 goals, since joining initially on loan in the 2018/19 campaign.
Jay came through the youth ranks at Premier League side Chelsea, where he was three-time FA Youth Cup winner and twice won the UEFA Youth League.
The spell at the Robins was Dasilva’s second loan away from Stamford Bridge having also had two loan periods with Charlton Athletic – earning the Club’s Player of the Year prize in 2017/18.
Manager Mark Robins said: “We are delighted to announce Jay as our first signing of the 2023/24 season.
“We have monitored Jay for a while now and are delighted that, despite interest from elsewhere, he has decided to join Coventry City.
“He is dynamic, attack-minded wing back with great technical ability, who will add further quality and pace to our squad. We look forward to working with him.”
