Last week, on Thursday 4 May we invited all our Sky Blues in the Community participants to join us in our Community Festival held at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Throughout the day we saw our Walking Footballers, MENtalk participants, Dementia Active participants, PL inspires students, all our partner schools, Girls Emerging Talent Centre and finished with our Player Development Centre’s end of season presentation.
The sun was shining, smiles were beaming, and excitement filled the stadium from children right through to adults, as everyone took part in small-sided tournaments and games.
We wanted to celebrate all our participants in a fun, relaxed environment and allow everyone to enjoy and experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only did they have the privilege of playing on the same pitch as their CCFC hero's, but they also got to meet ‘star of the show’ - Sky Blue Sam!
Don’t just take our word for it though, here’s what some of our participants, partners and schools had to say:
“Making memories for our Year 4 and 5 pupils, who got to play football on the same pitch as their Coventry City FC idols at the Coventry Building Society Arena. A massive thank you to SBitC for hosting, everyone had an amazing time!”
“This was a wonderful experience for them and something I’m sure they will never forget. Thanks to SBitC for organising”
“So much fun had at Noah’s presentation this evening. Living every CCFC fans dream of playing on the Coventry Building Society Arena’s pitch. Thank you SBitC”
“Thank you from us all at Templars Primary for such a wonderful afternoon! Our children have had a fabulous day, making wonderful memories that they will treasure forever!”
“What a fantastic experience, playing at the Coventry Building Society Arena today.. Thank you for giving us old boys a once in a lifetime opportunity #PUSB”
We would also like to thank Frasers Group and Sports Directory UK for making this event possible.
