Burnley U21 2-1 Sky Blues U21

Previous Meeting:

The two sides last met back in October of last year, in what proved to be a thrilling encounter, with the two sides playing out a 3-3 draw at The Posh Academy Training Ground.

The young Sky Blues took the lead almost instantly, when Peterborough United defender James Dornelly turned into his own net after just two minutes.

Posh fought back with Tom Billson forced into making a number of saves before the hosts found their equaliser just before half-time, when Oscar Tonge's cross was fired in off the head of Joseph Taylor. Just one minute later, Posh were ahead as Andrew Oluwabori doubled his side's lead.

However, on the stroke of half-time, the Sky Blues levelled the game through Tom Costello, sending them into the break at 2-2.

Into the second half, the Posh retook the lead once more, before Costello turned provider to help the young Sky Blues draw level late on, when his pass found substitute Justin Obikwu, who made no mistake with his finish, in the area.
