We will be joined by collectors for Coventry Community Responders.

Volunteers from the charity, which was established in 2009 by two serving police officers, attend 999 calls on behalf of the West Midlands Ambulance service, providing potentially lifesaving treatment until the nearest available ambulance arrives at the scene.

The volunteers are trained to a nationally recognised level by the West Midlands Ambulance Service who – coupled with their full-time jobs – between them aim to be on duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week. They are fully trained in handling a variety of different situations including heart attacks, strokes and cardiac arrest.

Previously a Club charity partner and once displayed on the front of our shirts, Coventry Community Responders have continued working alongside the Club to provide support to the Sky Blues’ medical team on a matchday, and have also held yearly bucket collections and other fundraising activities supported by the Club.

For more information on the CCR you can follow them on Twitter via @Covresponders or visit their website www.coventrycommunityresponders.com
