NEWS: 700 tickets distributed to community groups by SBitC to support EFL 'Together' matchday!

9 March 2023

Sky Blues in the Community have distributed 700 tickets for Saturday’s game against Hull City in support of the EFL’s Together month!

The matchday this Saturday, 11th March, will see the Club showing support for equality, diversity and inclusion at the Sky Blues, as part of the EFL’s league wide campaign.

Sky Blues in the Community, Coventry City’s charity arm, have distributed the tickets to Clubs and groups which are within these areas of work, meaning a number of people who may not otherwise will get the chance to come to the Coventry Building Society Arena to support the Sky Blues.

A number of these groups are projects that Sky Blues in the Community already work with in a number of aspects.

These include the Moathouse Community Trust, which does a huge amount of work engaging with the communities in Wood End, Deedmore, Henley Green and Manor Farm.

SBitC have also engaged with the Families for All Hub Foleshill too.

Meanwhile, footballers and basketballers from the Kicks programme, which is run by Sky Blues in the Community and provides activities for 8 – 19 year olds in priority areas of Coventry, will also be attending the game.

Tickets have also been distributed to Coventry City Women and Girls FC, plus other girls football teams who are partnered with SBitC.

Dave Busst, Head of Sky Blues in the Community, said:

“We’re delighted to have had the opportunity to distrbitute these tickets as part of the Club’s support for the EFL’s Together month.

“We do a great breadth of work across equality, diversity, inclusion and access, so to give more people the opportunity to come to Saturday’s game is fantastic.”
