Coventry City are delighted to announce the signing of Brad Collins!
The goalkeeper joins the Sky Blues from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
26-year-old Collins has agreed a three-year deal with City.
Southampton-born Collins began his career at Chelsea’s Academy where he would win the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup and feature prominently for the Club’s Development squad.
In 2017/18 he enjoyed a season long loan at Forest Green Rovers in League Two and played 45 games. The next season saw Collins at Burton Albion on loan in League One, where would make a total of 35 appearances.
Following the expiry of his contract at Chelsea in the Summer of 2019, he moved into the Championship with Barnsley. In four seasons with the Tykes, Collins made a total of 117 appearances and won their Player of the Season award in 2021/22.
Manager Mark Robins said:
“We are delighted to welcome Brad to Coventry City in another important transfer as we build our squad for next season.
“He has great pedigree and excellent goalkeeping ability, and his time with Barnsley plus his loan spells has given him good experience, while still being relatively young for a keeper.
“He will add further competition to the goalkeeping area and we look forward to working with him.”
