NEWS: Coventry City to transform dressing rooms at the Coventry Building Society Arena

20 July 2023

Coventry City will be transforming the dressing room area at the Coventry Building Society Arena this Summer ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

The Sky Blues will be moving dressing rooms, returning to the area that the Club originally used from 2005 to 2013 at the Arena.

The space will be transformed and re-modelled, with a new shape for the dressing rooms plus new changing areas for players, flooring, ceiling and re-decorated medical and ancillary rooms too.

Work began earlier this month to rip out the old dressing rooms and the work to create the new dressing rooms will be completed in time for the Sky Blues’ first home game of the season against Middlesbrough on Saturday 12th August.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“We’re delighted that work has started to transform the dressing room space that we are moving back into.

“It is a larger space for us to use, both in terms of the dressing room and adjoining facilities, and will help with our work on matchdays.

“We look forward to the building work being completed and using it for the first time when we play Middlesbrough next month.”

Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:

“We identified moving the dressing room as a key aspect of improving the matchday experience for our players and staff, and this space is being transformed to create a high-quality area for them to work in on matchdays.

“After much planning work here at the Club over the last few months, the refurbishment got underway earlier this month and we look forward to completing it in August.

“We’d like to thank Frasers Group and Coventry Building Society Arena for their support and co-operation in making this happen.”
