Brad Collins became the Sky Blues fourth summer signing, when he agreed terms on a three-year deal from Barnsley.

Collins will link-up with his new teammates on Monday following the end of the pre-season tour of Portugal, with preparations beginning for the first pre-season fixture against Forest Green Rovers.

After finalising his move, Collins spoke of his delight at getting the deal over the line, meeting some familiar faces and aims for next season.

Getting the deal done…

“I’m buzzing to be here.

“I know how it went last season and I know a few of the boys and the assistant manager and I feel like it’s a club on the up and I’m delighted to be here.”

Coming back to the Championship…

“I was in League One last year, and I feel like I belong in the Championship, and I have big ambitions for myself which fits in with the club.

“We came to the final at Wembley, and it was incredible, seeing the fans there and you could tell it was a massive club and I just wanted to be part of it.”

Joining the Goalkeepers group…

“They did terrific last year, and Ben got the golden glove and I just want to get to work and get my head down and graft.

“They’re a strong goalkeeper group and I want to play football so I’m here to fight for that shirt.

“It’s going to be tough, but I believe in my own ability, and I can’t wait to get involved.”

Familiar faces…

“I know Kasey Palmer, Jay Dasilva, Jamie Allen and Fadz (Kyle McFadzean) so I know some of the boys.

“It will be good to see them and catch up with them because it’s been a while since I have seen them.

“When you know a familiar faces, you tend to fit in easier. It can be difficult coming to a new club but I’m ready to go and I can’t wait.

“I spoke to Jay Dasilva recently and he only recently joined, and he only had good things to say about the Club since he came here and it’s a great club and I really can’t wait.”
