Bobby Thomas got 65 minutes under his belt, as he helped City to victory against MK Dons in pre-season.
Bobby, who joined the Club on Saturday, was thrown into the starting eleven at Stadium:MK, for his first minutes since joining the Sky Blues.
Speaking after the final whistle, Thomas looked back on his first minutes for the Club and where he is fitness wise ahead of the new season.
First outing in Sky Blue…
“I feel good. I needed that and hopefully I’ll get some more work Saturday and get up to the threshold I need to play 90 minutes.
“It was a good run out. We moved the ball well and created some good chances and scored some good goals.”
Hearing about his first minutes for the Club…
“When I came last week, I spoke to the Gaffer, and he mentioned next Tuesday about being the first time I would feature, and it was a good to get out there.”
Pre-season so far…
“Pre-season has been good.
“I had three weeks off and then straight back in at Burnley and got the ball moving straight away so I don’t feel like I lost much sharpness or fitness, so I feel like I’ve came back, and it’s all just merged into one.”
Bringing the ball forward…
“I do what I need to do for the team. In different games I might not be as high as I was tonight.
“In some games I might be like another centre-midfielder, but if I can join in and link with the front players its good for me and to progress up the pitch.”
Playing alongside Kyle McFadzean…
“It’s nice to play in a solid base.
“Fadz keeps you ticking over and in tune and keeps you focused and he’s a good person to have to help you.”
Aims for the season…
“I just want to play as many games as I can and progress as a player and help the team progress and kick on individually.”
