Coventry City are very pleased to announce the signing of Riccardo Di Trolio from St Albans City.
The young defender joins the Sky Blues Under 21s squad, though will initially re-join St Albans City on loan until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
The 17-year-old centre back has played eight games so far this campaign for the Club in all competitions, having risen through the ranks at the National League South side.
After joining Coventry City, Riccardo said:
“I’m buzzing. It’s always been a dream for me to sign my first professional contract and to do it with a Club like Coventry is the icing on the cake.
“The Club has great history and a great Academy, and I can’t wait to get going when I come back next season. I’m looking forward to showing people what I can do and keep on playing games and developing.
“I would say I’m a no-nonsense centre-back. I like to be strong in tackles and I love defending, and keeping clean sheets is so important to me and hopefully I can keep that up here.”
