NEWS: Legends Day 2023 announced!

24 February 2023

Coventry City Football Club and the Coventry City Former Players Association are delighted to announce details of Legends Day 2023!

This year’s Legends Day will take place on Saturday 1st April, when the Sky Blues host Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship at the Coventry Building Society Arena (3pm kick-off).

Fans can expect around 40 former players to join them on the day to enjoy three-course hospitality, with the CCFPA out in force again as we welcome back our stars of the past.

A number of popular names are expected to be in attendance on what is always a special day in the Coventry City calendar, with the former players also being introduced onto the pitch at half-time.

As well as spending the afternoon with the Legends, you'll get to enjoy a whole range of benefits which include:

  • 3 course dining in the glass-fronted Premier Lounge overlooking the pitch
  • Padded seat on the upper balcony adjacent to the restaurant
  • Complimentary matchday programmes and team sheets
  • Welcome drink (beer/wine/soft drink)
  • Half-time tea and coffee
  • Man of the Match presentation

Our brilliant Legends Day package is £114 (inc VAT) per person, while Children under-12 are £57 (inc VAT). Discounts are available for season ticket holders and typically an adult season ticket holder will be entitled to a £15 discount.

To enquire about a season ticket discount, please email hospitality@ccfc.co.uk and include your name and supporter number.

Supporters can also call Danae Hamer on 02476 992331 to book their place.

Head of Commercial at Coventry City Tynan Scope said:

"We are very pleased to confirm Legends Day will be on Saturday 1st April when we face Stoke City.

"Thanks to the hard work of the Former Players Association and its volunteers, we will be bringing a range of players from the past back to the Club and giving Sky Blues fans the opportunity to meet their heroes and enjoy the day alongside them.

"It’s always a very popular day amongst our supporters and one which sells out in hospitality, so we would urge fans to book their place as soon as possible for what will be a memorable day.”

Jim Brown, chairman of the CCFPA, said:

“Legends Day has become an important date in the Sky Blues calendar and we look forward to welcoming many of the players that made our club great at the forthcoming Stoke fixture.

“Although the stadium will be cashless on the day, we’d appreciate the supporters bringing cash for our raffle and auction to enable CCFPA to help our past players and local charities.”

Dining will be on shared tables of 10 with other supporters.

Matchball Sponsorship is available for this game – to enquire, please contact rebecca.shortland@ccfc.co.uk
