Coventry City are delighted to confirm that defender Kyle McFadzean has agreed a new contract with the Sky Blues.

The new one-year deal will extend the central defender’s stay at the Club until June 2024.

35-year-old McFadzean joined City in 2019 and has gone on to play 137 times for the Sky Blues, scoring 6 goals and captaining the side on numerous occasions.

McFadzean was also part of the side that won the League One title in 2020.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“We are very pleased that Kyle has agreed a new contract with the Club.

“His defensive abilities are clear to see and he brings great experience and leadership to the team, both on and off the pitch.

“He is a superb professional and a key part of the side, so we’re delighted he has agreed a new deal.”
