On 8 May 2021, the Sky Blues ended their Championship campaign in style with a 6-1 in over Tuesday night's opponents Millwall.
City were two goals up at the break, thanks to strikes from Jordan Shipley and Kyle McFadzean, before allowing the Lions back into the game via an own goal.
However, three goals in the space of eight minutes from Dom Hyam, Callum O’Hare and Matty James put City well in control before Tyler Walker added a sixth late on.
The win meant the Sky Blues ended their campaign in 16th place, after a magnificent performance to round off a successful first season back in the second division.
