Coventry City Under-18s boss Gary Mills praised his side for fighting back from behind twice to draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Oliver Berry and Evan Eghosa were on target as Mills and his young group battled through a difficult afternoon to ensure they did not leave Yorkshire empty-handed.

"It was a scrappy and difficult game for us this weekend but the players showed brilliant character to find a way to get the result," said Mills, discussing the U18s Professional Development League result.

"We were by no means at our best but we still managed to get something from the game by showing great resilience, despite needing to fight back from behind.

"There were still moments of quality: Our first goal came from a good set piece, crossed in brilliantly by Bradley Stretton and finished by Oliver Berry, who has been out for a long time, so it was really great to see him on the scoresheet.

"Later in the game, we scored another through Evan Eghosa, assisted by Aiden Dausch."

Next up for the young Sky Blues is Sheffield United, a team flying high in the U18s Professional Development League.

"They are at the sharp end of both Under-18s and Under-21s level, and they further strengthen their position with a win," explained Mills.

"They're physical, organised and strong, but we'll have a game plan to try and give ourselves the best chance in the game."
