City travel to the North East for their final away fixture of 2023 against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
This will be the Black Cats first fixture since appointing new manager, Michael Beale as the man to replace Tony Mowbray at the Stadium of Light.
Mowbray took over at Sunderland last season, replacing Alex Neil and ultimately taking the North East side into the play-off places, falling shor against eventual winners, Luton Town.
However, following a mixed run of results in the opening few months of the 2023/24 season, Sunderland acted, dismissing Mowbray and appointing former QPR and Rangers boss, Michael Beale.
Currently sitting 7th in the Championship, just outside of the top six, Sunderland host the Sky Blues in their final home fixture of the calendar year.
Jack Clarke tops the scoring charts for the Black Cats, with ten goals to his name, after Sunderland lost key man, Ross Stewart in the summer to Southampton.
Jobe Bellingham, Bradley Dack, Jenson Seelt and Luis Semedo were just four of the new faces to come through the door this past transfer window, as Sunderland look to go one further than last year this season.
Mark Robins Quotes:
“I think we're just getting some confidence from results. We're getting confidence from performances and obviously executing game plans brilliantly and they deserve an enormous amount of credit for what they're doing and hopefully that continues and I'm sure it will continue.
“We have another big game coming against Sunderland, who are a really good football team.
“I felt for Tony (Mowbray), because I think he'd done a great job there, but they felt that they wanted to make a change.
“So, Michael Beale comes in and it's his first game tomorrow, so there’s all of those things around the game and also you'd expect it to be pretty near full house.”
