1 December 2023

Nuneaton Borough’s upcoming FA Trophy fixture against AFC Fylde will be held at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The match will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 9th December at the home of Coventry City.

As Boro face on-going issues regarding access to play home games at Liberty Way, Boro approached the Sky Blues regarding playing the fixture at the Arena and the two clubs have reached an agreement with Coventry Building Society Arena, who will host the fixture free of charge.

Supporters will be housed in the West Stand at the Arena, with admission via turnstiles 44/45. Ticket prices for the game are Adult £15, Concessions £10, Under 17 £5.

Jimmy Ginnelly, manager of Nuneaton Borough, said:

"We can't thank Doug King, Dave Boddy and the team at the Coventry Building Society Arena enough for their unbelievable gesture."

Doug King, Owner and Executive Chairman at Coventry City, said:

“We are pleased to be able to help our friends at Nuneaton Borough in these difficult times for them.

“As a Club we are only too aware of the situation that they find themselves in and when they approached us, we were very keen to play our part and help arrange for the game against Fylde to take place at our home ground.

“We thank Coventry Building Society Arena for supporting us in making this happen.

“Supporting our local community is really important for us at Coventry City, so we are delighted to be able to do this.”

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We’re proud to be working alongside Coventry City Football Club to host Nuneaton Borough Football Club’s upcoming FA Trophy fixture against AFC Fylde.

“Supporting our local community is really important to us as a venue, so we are pleased to be able to support Coventry City in providing Nuneaton Borough with access to their pitch next weekend as a goodwill gesture.

“We appreciate this is a difficult time for Nuneaton Borough supporters, and we hope this gesture plays a part in helping them to secure their long-term future.”
