Callum O'Hare gave his assessment of City's defeat to Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Callum came back into the side for his first start of the season and his first start since his injury he picked up on Boxing Day 2022.
O'Hare played 70 minutes against Ipswich and looked back at the game following the full-time whistle.
Reflections on the result and improvement in the second half...
“Yeah, disappointing result obviously we lost 2-1, but I think we finished the game well so we can hopefully take that into the next game.
“I thought we did well, we didn't all out press them because they have good players. So, when we had our chance to press, we took it like I said we created a couple chances that we could have took.
“To be fair they’re a really good team I'm not going to lie I think they're really good. So, I think the second half performance was something that he could look to and hopefully take into the next game.”
On their Goals...
“Yeah, it's always tough especially, coming in and we concede after six minutes but I thought we stuck in we've created some good chances in the second half.
“I think they kept the ball well but didn't really do too much with it and then obviously, the guy scores an unbelievable goal and that kind of puts us on the back foot.
“To be fair when he hit it and it goes into top corners just like has to be against us, doesn't it? But, like I said our second half performance was better and hopefully we can take it into the next game.”
His first start back in the team...
“My first start in a long time so it was nice to be out there again for the fans. Shame about the result really.”
“I knew yesterday at the hotel so prepared myself right and, I was wishing for a good game obviously didn't turn out to be three points for us but, I'm happy to get the minutes.”
Coming into the game off the back of two wins and confidence high...
“Yeah, definitely. Well, of course we had some bad results before the wins, but you could see that we're creating chances, we were playing well, the ball just wasn't going in for us.
"We're a good team and we're going to keep showing up this season.”
On his return from injury
“Yeah, of course, like it's gonna take time but I was talking to my family about it like the first few games where I was coming on. I was happy to be back. But now it's like, right, I've got to focus and be the best player again, like get sharp and stuff like that. So yeah, that's what I'm focused on doing.”
“I know I've been back a bit but that's my first start in like you said, like, however long after like 11 months or whatever. I've got to make sure that I'm feeling right and stuff and that's all I'm focusing on at the minute. I just want to get on a pitch and play football because that's what I love doing the most and playing in front of fans is obviously the best thing.”
