NEWS: Sky Blues to increase branding around the Coventry Building Society Arena for the 23/24 campaign

Coventry City supporters will see a fresh Sky Blues look to the Coventry Building Society Arena this season!

A number of improvements are being made by the Football Club, with support from the Arena, to the look and feel of the concourse and the outside of the Arena – with the Club crest, colours and players featuring prominently – while work is also being done by the Arena on the concourse too.  

Sky Blues perimeter fencing wraps will be added along the length of the East Stand side of the Arena, including the Club crest and branding.

Inside the concourse, previously blank walls will now be adorned with famous images of Coventry City’s past as well as large display of the Club crest, thanking fans for their support.

Meanwhile, previously grey concourse pillars will also be covered up with Sky Blue branding – again including the Club crest and #PUSB messages, plus our trophy history.

In the Family Zone area, there will be a display of competition entries from the shirt design competition run by Sky Blues in the Community, Coventry Building Society Arena and Coventry City. There will also be a display in the area informing supporters of Sky Blues in the Community’s work in our local area too.

There are also plans for new signage in the coming weeks for inside the Family Zone in the stadium bowl.

Outside the Family Zone a new mural including the photos of some of the famous figures from our past and present will be displayed on the wall in the coming weeks, alongside signage welcoming supporters to the Family Zone.

The Club crest on the Wall of Fame is also being replaced, plus the sign for the Willie Stanley Memorial Garden.

Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:

“We’re delighted with the improvements that we are making to the Arena, which will really help improve the matchday experience for our supporters.

“More than ever, the Arena will feel like our home and I would like to thank the Arena and Frasers Group for their support in allowing us to undertake this work.”

Head of Marketing and Communications Mark Hornby said:

“This is the biggest branding project the Club has undertaken since the Arena opened in 2005 and will make the stadium feel more like home immediately for our fans - we’re sure that Sky Blues supporters will really notice the difference around the Arena and be impressed by the work.

“Seeing our crest prominently around the Arena, as well as images of players and managers from our past and present, will be a sight that Sky Blues fans will welcome and this will improve the experience on matchdays further, alongside the other work on the concourse that has been undertaken by the Arena.”

The team at the Coventry Building Society Arena has been revamping the rest of the concourse too, with new and improved food and drink options plus refurbished kiosks – details of which will be communicated shortly.
