27 April 2023

Ahead of Saturday's game against Birmingham City, we are sharing information regarding transport and parking for fans attending the match at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

It's a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 29th April at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with fans advised to arrive early with a 30,000 sell-out in attendance.

We are also advising supporters to plan their journeys to the Arena, with roads and the transport network set to be busier than normal.

TRAIN TRAVEL:

We have been provided the following information from West Midlands Trains:

Coventry City host Birmingham City this Saturday. As a result, services between Birmingham and Coventry will be very busy 2 hours before and after the match.

If you’re travelling to the match, please keep the below in mind:

  1. Services between Birmingham and Coventry will be much busier than usual
  2. Services between Coventry and Coventry Arena station are limited to an hourly service. You’re advised to use alternative travel from Coventry station
  3. Queuing systems may be in place at stations during busier times, so please allow extra time for your journey
  4. Check your train times in advance at wmr.uk/plan

Why can’t more trains be provided between Coventry and Coventry Arena?

Infrastructure restrictions on the Leamington Spa – Nuneaton line combined with platform capacity at Coventry station means that services on the line remain hourly.

BUS TRAVEL:

A number of bus services operate close to the Coventry Building Society Arena, both from Coventry city centre and also other areas.
