PREVIEW: Sky Blues face Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park

The Sky Blues can move back into the top six with a victory...

18 April 2023

The Sky Blues travel to Ewood Park tonight to face Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship.

Meet Blackburn Rovers:

Blackburn Rovers will welcome the Sky Blues to Ewood Park in search of their first win in five SkyBet Championship fixtures.

Since the middle of March, John Dahl Thomasson's side have picked up just two points with two draws and three defeats since their last triumph.

However, prior to that Rovers put together a stellar run of six wins in seven games and remain a side tipped for a top-six finish at the end of the campaign.

Dominic Hyam, who departed the Sky Blues during the summer, is now an important players for Blackburn with Lewis Travis and Harry Pickering also impressing this term.
Ben Brereton Diaz is their top goalscorer (12) with Sorba Thomas leading their assists chart (7).

Inside the Sky Blues camp:

Mark Robins said: "We’ve got a tough one coming up, we’ve got to go away to Blackburn, so it’s important we recover well, we’ll enjoy this first and get onto that on Monday.

"It’s going to be a tough week but a really important week and it keeps things moving along nicely for us.

"If we can get something from the game, it sets things up really nicely but there’s a lot of clubs that are closing in and that’s been the case all season.

"It’s a really good opportunity, so we can’t throw things away and make sure we’re right on things Wednesday but we can’t look any further than that."
